I was thrilled to have Screenwriter/Author Doug Richardson return to Deadly Reads Radio.

Important Shows on Deadly Reads Radio

Many of you know I also have a YouTube channel called Deadly Reads Radio.  On our shows we talk with those in the Publishing and Entertainment industries about their projects and careers.  However, we, at Deadly Reads are also proud supporters of Essure Awareness.  

I'm sure many of you have never heard of the Essure Birth Control Device, and many of you who have were told it was a safe procedure with no dangerous side-effects.  My daughter-in-law was one of those women.  However, all the promises of a carefree form of birth control ended in tragedy for her. Failing health, intense pain, and other issues are what Essure gave her.

After meeting several women on the Essure Problems Facebook page, I decided it was time to alert women of this not only dangerous, but DEADLY device.  Below is our first show in a series, where women who are suffering from Essure called in and shared their stories.  This is an important series for women to educate themselves before allowing Essure to be put inside their bodies.  Please listen to their words, and then share it with every woman you know.  We must prevent women from falling prey to a sales pitch that is not only a lie, but may cost them their health or even their lives.

Laughing and Learning

Bestselling Indie Author Mike Pettit returns to Deadly Reads Radio for an evening of informative and lively conversation. Lisa and I are always thrilled when Mike drops by for a visit on Deadly Reads Radio.

He's a wealth of information about the Indie Publishing World with his tips on branding and marketing.  We have learned so much from him and I'm sure you will too.  An added bonus is Mike is a fun interview.  I'm just thankful he is patient with Lisa and me because if there is something that can be screwed up you can bet we'll do it.

Mike is also a Bestselling Author of over 30 exciting action-packed crime novels, as well as books in the western genre and true life stories.

We had a great time chatting with Vince Guaglione about his books and writing career.  Vince has written a wonderful series of books on the grieving process after losing a loved one and how to he learned to overcome the pain.  I was a little weepy during the show because of my recent loss.  However, in spite of my occasional tears, we had a great time.

Things that go bump in the Night

I had a GREAT time today with 'The Horrorcist' from London, England on his podcast. He let me share some of the supernatural and downright scary experiences I've had in my life . Once he gets the podcast ready, I'll be sure to share the link for the show. On a side note, he has the cutest British accent and is an absolute joy. For those of you who know me, yes, I was my normal silly self.

He has even agreed to join us on the Deadly Reads Radio Podcast for our Halloween show. I want to line up my social media friends to call the show that night and share their scariest true stories of the things that go bump in the night. If you have a bone-chilling story, let me know and we'll get you set up to join us on the show. I'll let you know the date and time of the show at later time.

A BIG change at Deadly Reads Radio

Deadly Reads Radio, Journey into the Night has been on Blog Talk Radio since we debuted October 2015.  While we've enjoyed our time on Blog Talk Radio, we have decided to take our show on a different path.  In fact, tomorrow night, Feb. 16th is our last show on Blog Talk Radio at 9 pm CST.  The author, Stephen Thorne wanted to do a Pre-Recorded show, and I have to say that we had a blast.  He was quite amusing. LOL

Starting next month, we will be doing our shows as a Podcast on our Youtube Channel.  We will have the same format of interviewing some of the most interesting and fun guests, and I promise that Lisa and I will still be as silly as ever.  We will also have it so listeners can still call in and speak with our guests.

I have to admit that I'm a bit nervous about the change because this means a whole new learning experience for me.  But, I figure if I could learn how to do the tech stuff on Blog Talk, I can on our new format. LOL

I hope you will continue to listen to our shows, or if you haven't yet that you give us a try.  Lisa and I have been blessed with those who have agreed to come on and spend the evening with us, talking about the exciting things they do in their careers.  We've interviewed Bestselling/ Award Winning Authors and others in the Publishing Industry, Actors and Actresses, Movie Makers/Producers/Directors/Screenwriters, and those in the Music Industry,

Happy Birthday to Deadly Reads Radio!

I cannot believe it has already been a year since we started Deadly Reads Radio - Journey into the Night.  When the crazy idea popped into my head to do a Blog Talk Radio show with my fellow Deadly Reads Author, Lisa Vandiver, I never thought it would blossom into the wonderful show it has become.  We started out last October with no idea of what we were doing, and I must confess that both of us were scared to death.  We stumbled our way through our first show with Award-Winning Paranormal Author Ica Iova, but somehow it turned out to be a fun show.  When I think of how much we've grown as hosts since then, it makes me proud.

Over this past year, we have had some of the most interesting guests join us each week.  We've interviewed Authors of all genres, some of the top Romance Novel Cover Models in the industry, Actors, Actresses, Directors, Producers, Screenwriters, Filmmakers, Musicians, and Promoters.  We've had the honor of interviewing those just starting out in their careers, to those who have achieved the height of theirs.  We've met some of the most interesting people in the Publishing and Entertainment Industries, and we look forward to bringing more shows for our listener's enjoyment each Thursday evening.  As an added feature for our listeners, each week, I add the recorded show to our Deadly Reads YouTube Channel.

We've also done awareness shows on The Essure Birth Control Device.  These shows were quite emotional as women called into the show and shared their stories of how Essure has changed their lives.  I have to admit that I cried several times as the women shared with us of how this horrible form of Birth Control has destroyed their health.  I'm currently creating videos of these shows to add to the Deadly Reads YouTube Channel.

If you haven't listened to our show, I invite you to check us out.  We are on LIVE each Thursday evening for 1 hour starting at 9 pm central (10 eastern, 8 mountain, or 7 pacific).  We started out doing 2-hour shows but found that to be too long to ask people to give of their time.  Our special shows, like the Essure shows, are on Tuesday evenings and are announced in advance.
